I te ohonga ake I aku moemoea, ko te puawaitanga o te whakaaro.  I awoke from my dreams, to the blossoming of my thinking.

Flourish 2022 is a conversation for possibility on the health and wellbeing of women and gender-diverse peoples in Aotearoa, with a particular focus on equity.

The Government’s commitment to a women’s health strategy as part of the Pae Ora legislation gives us a special opportunity to support the strategy’s development from across the community, health sector, research and government.

Flourish 2022 is a highly interactive event, numbers are limited and participation is by invitation only. There is no registration fee.

Flourish 2022 is a face-to-face event focused on relationship-building and whakawhanaungatanga to harness our diverse perspectives. The day is organised around Facilitated Discussion Groups, designed to generate ideas and actions, and short Spark Talks, designed to provoke and inspire.

Aims and outcomes

Flourish 2022 is based on an acknowledgement of the many, interdependent groups and organisations doing important work. It aims to help bring more strategic cohesion to these efforts and support the Government’s development of a women’s health strategy. The intended outcomes are:

  • a collective vision of health and wellbeing for women and gender-diverse people in Aotearoa
  • new relationships established or existing ones strengthened
  • identification of practical actions and collaborations, including in support of a women’s health strategy
  • a summary report from the day that will be shared with stakeholders
