Pre-Meeting Workshops

Second stage of labour is the most challenging time of birth for babies, mothers and clinicians. This course is designed to evidence-based approach to identify issues, use of diagnostic tools and provide the hands-on approach to clinically manage the complex situations. This is an opportunity to practice including use of rotational and non-rotational instrumental delivery and enhance second stage CS skills. This course is run by experienced clinicians for all level of clinical staff who are involved in intra partum care.

This Laparoscopic Workshop is designed to increase your confidence with minimally invasive surgery. This workshop covers the ergonomics of laparoscopic surgery, best posture for a long operating career, principles of electrosurgery detailing which instrument to choose, pelvic anatomy, and extending from basic laparoscopic procedures to more complex (large fibroid uterus, ovarian cysts, moderate endometriosis excision). The second part of the workshop provides hands on experience with laparoscopic suturing techniques, in-bag morcellation, Olympus Thunderbeat® utilisation for colpotomy at time of hysterectomy.

This workshop is designed for medical professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in in the repair of third- and fourth-degree perineal tears using porcine anal sphincters.  Perineal repair, a critical aspect of obstetric and gynaecological care and throughout this workshop, participants will engage in hands-on training, interactive discussions, and comprehensive demonstrations to develop a deep understanding of perineal anatomy, recognise different types of perineal trauma, and master the techniques for effective repair.
