Dr Patty Edge

Pathma Edge, better known as Patty, is currently the chair of the WA State RANZCOG Committee and a consultant at Osborne Park Hospital. Patty started her O&G journey in the UK and spent time in aeromedical and general medicine working in the Royal Airforce, including being a part of the medical unit for Princess Anne when she visited Belize.

After leaving the RAF, she worked in Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey in the UK where she commenced her O&G training before moving to Christchurch in New Zealand, to continue her training and for her senior registrar training  she moved to Australia to KEMH. After qualifying she worked in Armadale Public and Galliers Private Hospital and Peel, Public and Private Hospitals and Rockinghan Public and Private Hospitals before deciding to take a break from medicine. Patty left O&G for a few years to study Cinematography at Murdoch University.

She however missed the night work, massive antenatal clinics and no sleep, and returned to O&G working in KEMH, before becoming the Director of O&G at JHC for 3 years and is currently is working as a consultant at OPH. Patty still gets to release her creative side as a sketching and watercolour artist, with a large following on Instagram. She looks forward to the next three years as the Chair working with the WA RANZCOG Committee to ensure we protect and support RANZCOG members and the women and their families they serve.
