RANZCOG Symposium ACT-NSW

The second instalment of the 2026 RANZCOG Symposia Series continued in Canberra. An event where all members were invited to a day and a half of didactic learnings on Saturday 27 June - Sunday 28 June 2026. Topics covering women's health with a specific scope in the ACT and NSW region.

Over two days, members and trainees came together to enhance their knowledge, foster new professional connections, and celebrate contributions of our future leaders in women's health. Conversations were sparked, knowledge shared, and collaborations initiated during the Symposium (ACT-NSW) will undoubtedly echo far beyond The Shine Dome's iconic arched windows.

The Program offered thought-provoking sessions in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, covering patient centric care, birth trauma and gynaecology deep dive. The intimate and engaging Social Program helped strengthen professional connections, with delegates gathering for a cocktail function serving Canberran produce with The Shine Dome's moat as a background. Overall, the Symposium (ACT-NSW) offered an outstanding opportunity to engage with experts, exchange insights, and collaborate on the latest research, strategies, and innovations in women’s health across Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales

With over 127 registrations, the Symposium featured:1.5 days of didactic and panel session 24 invited speakers and 6 free communication presentations 16 static poster presentations.

Best Free Communications Presentation was awarded to Ananya Aggarwal for the presentation titled "Treatment Sequencing in Pelvic Organ Prolapse Surgery: A Narrative Review of Timing Optimisation in Sacrocolpopexy"

Best Static Poster Presentation was awarded to Erin Stewart for the presentation titled "Comparison of Inpatient and Outpatient LLETZ Outcomes for Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia"
