In Person Attendance and COVID-19
Do I need to be vaccinated to attend?
Yes, you will be required to have received at least two doses of a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccination, or have a valid medical exemption to attend the Symposium as per Victorian State Government Relations.
You will be asked to provide proof of your vaccination status when you arrive at the venue by COVID-19 Marshals. You can find information here on valid proof of vaccination.
Do I need to Check in at the venue?
Yes, you are required to check in. It is required when you arrive at the Symposium or associated social events that you check in using the Service Vic App. If you don't have a smartphone with this application, you can sign in with the COVID-19 Marshals manually.
Do I need to wear a mask?
When in any indoor space, you are required to wear a face mask in line with Victorian State Government mandates. You are able to remove your mask to consume food and drink. You can find handy tips on wearing your face mask here.
You are encouraged to practice social distancing where possible and practice safe hand hygiene. Sanitising stations will be placed throughout the venue for your convenience.

When does Registration Open?
Registration will open on Monday 28 February at 7.45am in anticipation of an 8.15am start.

Logging into the Portal and joining a session
How do I log in?
You will receive an email from the RANZCOG Events Team before the Symposium which will have your log in details – you will be automatically logged into the Portal.
When you first log in, you will be asked to update your profile – you can include contact details and a photo.
What internet browser should I use?
Chrome is the preferred browser for the RANZCOG Virtual Platform
How do I join a session?
You will see on the home page a count down to when the next session starts.
You can select “Preview” to preview the session before it starts, or “Join” if the session has started. You’ll be able to watch the session live and join in the Q&A and polling online with other delegates.
Issues in the Session
What do I do if I can’t hear any audio?
Please check the connections on your device and ensure that if you’re wearing a headset that they are selected as the audio output. You can also try clicking the Mute/Unmute button on the video player.
If you are still having issues, hover on your initials on the top right and refresh your data.
If the above doesn’t work, your connection may be blocked if you are attending on your workplace computer. Some workplaces have firewalls which prevent audio. Please connect via a wifi hotspot on your mobile phone.
What do I do if I can’t see any video?
The most common cause is a firewall block if you are attending on a workplace device.

How to I ask a question?
Once you are in the session, you can ask a question by utilising the Q&A functionality on the right hand side of your screen
How do I participate in a Poll?
The session host will launch a poll where appropriate: you will be able to vote on the poll on the right hand side of your screen
What is the Meeting Hub?
The meeting hub is where you can connect with other delegates. To connect with someone, select their name and then tap the green button next to their name to request a connection. Once they have confirmed this, you will be able to contact them.
