RANZCOG Education and Engagement Day (QLD) 2025 Overview

The RANZCOG Education and Engagement Day – Queensland was held from Friday 27 to Saturday 28 June 2025 at the Pullman International, QLD.

Over two days, members and trainees came together to enhance their knowledge, reunited professional connections, and celebrate contributions of our future leaders in women's health. Conversations evoked memories, knowledge shared, and collaborations initiated during the Education and Engagement Day will undoubtedly resonate far and beyond.

The Program offered thought-provoking sessions in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, covering miscarriage and endometriosis guidelines, syphilis in pregnancy, complexities in twins, menopause and a panel discussion on Modern Labour Ward Management. One day of pre-meeting workshops provided valuable hands-on learning opportunities for all membership categories, including an Abortion Workshop and Case Base Discussions.

The intimate and engaging Social Program helped strengthen professional connections, with delegates gathering for dinner at The Gazebo, at the Pullman International serving Queensland produce with the cool tropical breeze as the backdrop. Overall, the Education and Engagement Day offered an outstanding opportunity to engage with experts, exchange insights, and collaborate on the latest research, strategies, and innovations in women’s health across Queensland.

With over 76 registrations, the Education and Engagement Day featured:

  • 1 days of didactic presentations and a panel session
  • 22 invited speakers and 4 free communication presentations
  • 2 pre-meeting workshops

Best FRANZCOG Trainee Presentation was awarded to Sarveshinee Pillay for the presentation titled "A 10-Year Multicentre Retrospective Cohort Study on the Management of Interstitial Ectopic Pregnancies in South Australian Tertiary Hospitals."
