Designed for GPs, GP obstetricians, and primary care clinicians involved in shared maternity care, this practical and engaging workshop explores evidence-based approaches to abortion care, complex pregnancy management, and postnatal troubleshooting.

Participants will develop greater confidence in evidence-based clinical decision-making and the management of complex and non-routine obstetric presentations.

Join experienced clinicians as they guide you through a series of rural obstetric case studies, including preterm labour and miscarriage. This interactive workshop is designed to strengthen clinical reasoning, enhance problem-solving skills, and build confidence in decision-making within a collaborative learning environment.

Through the exploration of real-world cases, participants will assess patient histories, interpret clinical findings, and reflect on management approaches to develop practical strategies for caring for women in complex clinical situations.

With a dedicated focus on the recognition and repair of third- and fourth-degree perineal tears, this workshop offers participants the opportunity to strengthen both their theoretical understanding and practical skills.

Through the exploration of real clinical scenarios, expert facilitators will guide participants in applying evidence-based approaches to assessment and repair, helping to build confidence in managing these complex presentations in practice.

Designed as an interactive learning experience, the workshop encourages discussion, collaboration, and hands-on participation. Attendees will benefit from direct engagement with experienced clinicians, receiving personalised feedback and practical instruction to support skill development and improve clinical outcomes.
